HDPE Water Pipe Water Pressure Test Method
The hydraulic test of the HDPE water supply pipe has passed the installation and acceptance of HDPE water supply pipes in each pipe section. The pressure test can only be carried out on the 12m long pipe section on both sides of the elbow and tee, and when the pipe top is 5Ocm above the soil. In order to prevent the displacement of the pipeline, the pressure test standard of the HDPE water supply pipe project is 0.8Mpa. After the pressure is stable, check the interface, the pipe body has no damage and water leakage, and the pipeline strength test is qualified.
HDPE Water Pipe Pressure Test Method
1. Pipeline Pressure Test
When testing the pressure of the HDPE water supply pipe, use a fire hydrant to inject water at the low point through the fire isolation belt, and adjust the total water consumption according to the necessary length. When water injection begins, open the exhaust valve first, then close the water injection valve and exhaust valve after the exhaust valve exits to conduct an initial pressure test. After the test section is filled with water, maintain positive water pressure and fully immerse it for no less than 12 hours, and check whether there is leakage at the joints.
2. Initial Stage of Pressure Test
In the early stage of suppression, the pressure rises slowly and is tested every 0.2Mpa. When it is close to 0.5Mpa, a safety test is performed for a period of time. Open the exhaust valve to exhaust, then hold it to 0.6Mpa, and keep the test pressure constant for 10 minutes before the test. The pipeline must be inspected every time the pressure is increased. Only when there are no problems can the next step of pressure suppression be continued.
3. Pipeline Pressure Relief
When the pressure is released, the test pressure drops to 0.7Mpa, and when the water is released, the exhaust valve is opened at the same time. Release water to the drainage point. If no water is seen, calculate the drainage volume. Pressing takes 1-2 days according to construction requirements. The back should be placed on the undisturbed soil or artificial back; when the soil is soft, a square log should be placed in front of the back of the original soil, leveled and compacted, so that the whole back is stable.
Precautions for pressure testing of HDPE water pipes
1. Pipe fittings such as elbows and tees need to be anchored, and forks should be tightly closed to prevent water seepage.
2. The test HDPE water supply pipe is not allowed to use gate valves as blocking plates, and there are no accessories such as fire hydrants, water hammer eliminators, and safety valves.
3. During the test, the valve is fully open.
